Exercise 10 – Safety Promotion

For this task you are to work in pairs and produce some training communication.

As part of induction training, all new employees are giving a booklet on the company SMS.  There is a page for each element of SMS excluding SMS implementation.

You are to write the safety promotion material that will go into this booklet

The intent of the pages are to;

• briefly describe the element in plain and simple language
• explain how the employee is expected to participate in it
• Any other points you think relevent

Remember – the aim is to keep it simple, practical, applicable, and not use theoretical language.  Feel free to use pictures, diagrams or anything else you feel helps to explain the element. (Just using text is also fine)

The facilitator will allocate which element you will cover

Take 20 minutes in pairs and be prepared to share you results with the class
